THE NEED
More than 10 years ago, Mineros S.A. implemented a platform for managing the organization’s official procedure and policy documents. Over time, the platform reached end-of-support and was no longer updated by the vendor, creating the need for a new solution that could provide the same capabilities while aligning with the company’s cost-reduction strategy.
THE SOLUTION
Mineros’ needs were addressed through our Social Work service using Microsoft SharePoint Online. The project included consulting during the solution evaluation phase, cloud platform configuration and deployment, migration of more than 110 sites with approximately 350,000 documents, and support throughout the change management process to minimize the impact on end users.
BENEFITS
With this solution, Mineros S.A. was able to retain the benefits previously available in its former platform, such as access from any location, multi-level security, management of multiple sites, traceability, and version control, while also gaining the advantages of a cloud-based solution by eliminating concerns related to platform maintenance, updates, and technology obsolescence, in addition to supporting the projected reduction of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
